Spencer Hankin vs Ian Borland

Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Festival Hall, Melbourne,  taking place on 31/12/2040:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Spencer Hankin (3(1) - 0 - 1) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Ian Borland(4 - 5(2) - 3) from Newcastle, Australia.  Hankin weighed in at 243 pounds and 10 ounces, while Borland weighed in at 247 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dale Masoero, and the three ringside judges are Aaron Yale, Jake Denniston and Stephen MacDougall.  

Round 1: 

Hankin is looking to close the distance and crashes a mean left hook to Borland's liver.  BORLAND WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Borland quickly recovers.

Hankin advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Borland in a corner.  Borland throws a left hook, but Hankin holds on to his opponent.  Hankin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hankin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Borland is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Hankin senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Hankin lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS BORLAND DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Borland now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Hankin gets on the inside and hits home with a sharp left hook.
