Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 10/12/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are James Sprout (3(1) - 0) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Duncan Cassidy(4 - 15(2) - 6) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Sprout and Cassidy weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Malas, and the three ringside judges are Dom Clapperton, Arran Forbes and Jamie Geddings.  

Round 1: 

Sprout is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cassidy tries to keep the action at long range.  Sprout feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.

Sprout steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Sprout holds on to his opponent.  Sprout pushes his forearm into Cassidy's face.  The referee warns Sprout and breaks the clinch.  
Sprout lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sprout gets on the inside.  Cassidy throws a right hook, but Sprout clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cassidy pushes his forearm into Sprout's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cassidy.  
Cassidy throws a left uppercut, but Sprout ties up his opponent.  Sprout pushes his forearm into Cassidy's face.  The referee warns Sprout and breaks the clinch.

Sprout gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Sprout pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Sprout lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.

Sprout is looking to keep his distance and lands a stinging jab.  
Cassidy switches the action to the outside.  Sprout lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  The ref halts the action and sends Sprout to the neutral corner.    He tells Cassidy to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.
