Amer Salame vs Leon Butler

Boxing Daily Report from the Leprechaun Promotions promoted show at Leprechaun Gym, Belfast,  taking place on 14/12/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Salame (14(3) - 2(1)) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Lights Out Leon Butler(21(9) - 9(5)) from Bangor, UK.  Both Salame and Butler weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Gallagher, and the three ringside judges are Oisin Beirne, Oisin Beirne and Josh Brannon.  

Round 1: 

Salame steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Salame connects with an overhand right.  Salame tries to land a cross, but Butler sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Butler gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Salame blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Butler lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DOWN GOES SALAME!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Salame almost instantly recovers. 
Butler manages to force Salame onto the ropes.  Butler is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Butler connects with a left hook.  
Salame steps away from his opponent.  Butler throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Butler pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Butler drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  Butler wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Salame dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Salame is looking to keep his distance.  Salame quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Butler hits home with a firm overhand left.  
Butler gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Salame in the corner.  Salame is on target with a right hook.  Butler holds on to his opponent.  Butler leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Butler's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Salame attempts to land a left hook, but Butler sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Butler drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Salame pivots to the right of his opponent.  Butler drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Butler forces Salame to retreat onto the ropes.  Butler is on target with a solid left hook.  
Butler advances into close range and manouvers Salame onto the ropes.  Butler tries to land a right hook, but Salame blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Salame hits home with a sharp right hook.  Butler holds on to his opponent.  Butler is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Salame tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Butler steps inside and forces Salame to back into the ropes.  Butler quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Butler lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Butler lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Butler attempts to land a left hook, but Salame parries the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Salame throws a left hook, but Butler ties up his opponent.  Salame tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Butler behind the head. Butler is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Butler lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Salame's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Salame's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Salame's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Salame's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
