Jaguar Chicas vs Alejandro Roque

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Cortes promoted show at Gimnasio Las Palma, San Pedro Sula,  taking place on 15/12/2040:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Todo Deportes TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jaguar Chicas (12(11) - 2(2)) who hails from Choloma, Honduras and Alejandro Roque(16 - 10(1) - 2) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both Chicas and Roque weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marco Quezada, and the three ringside judges are Roman Orduna, Carlos Adan and Hernan Barrantes.  

Round 1: 

Chicas advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Chicas clinches his opponent.  Chicas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Roque throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Chicas steps inside and drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Chicas lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chicas lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Chicas ties up his opponent.  Chicas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Chicas walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Chicas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Chicas connects with a sharp right hook.  Chicas clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Chicas pushes his forearm into Roque's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Chicas manages to force Roque into the corner.  Chicas lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chicas lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Roque switches the action to the outside and lands with a stiff jab.  
Chicas drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Roque forces Chicas to back into the ropes.  Chicas lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Roque is on target with a left hook.  
Chicas closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Roque recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Chicas gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Chicas lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Roque's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Roque's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Roque tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Chicas advances into close range and manouvers Roque onto the ropes.  Chicas lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Roque is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Chicas feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Chicas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Chicas lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS ROQUE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Chicas clinches his opponent.  Chicas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Roque's kidney. Chicas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Chicas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Roque recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Chicas feints a jab, and then lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and a jab to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Roque recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Chicas gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, KNOCKING ROQUE DOWN!  The ref does not give Roque the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Chicas!
