Ashley Stevison vs Peter Palin

Boxing Daily Report from the Sijabala Promotions promoted show at Tuscaloosa Sandison, Tuscaloosa,  taking place on 03/01/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Alabama Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ashley Stevison (17(13) - 2) who hails from Tuscaloosa, USA and Peter Palin(11 - 15 - 6) from Birmingham, USA.  Both Stevison and Palin weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Younie, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Lovett, Mick Urquhart and Brad Temple.  

Round 1: 

Stevison advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Stevison lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Stevison lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Stevison advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Stevison holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Stevison pushes his forearm into Palin's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Stevison closes the distance.  Stevison sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Stevison throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Stevison holds on to his opponent.  Stevison is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Stevison to stop fouling.  
Stevison is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  Stevison ties up his opponent.  Stevison pushes his forearm into Palin's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Stevison lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Stevison holds on to his opponent.  Stevison throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Stevison about fouling.  
Stevison steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Stevison is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Stevison steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Palin steps inside.  Stevison lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Stevison lands a sharp left hook.  
Stevison digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Stevison walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Stevison drives a left uppercut into Palin's body.  
Palin attempts to land a cross, but Stevison blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Stevison is on target with a left hook to Palin's body.  
Stevison is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Palin's liver.  
Stevison lands a firm left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Palin's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Palin's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Palin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Stevison lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Stevison lands a right uppercut.  
Stevison advances into close range and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Stevison lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Stevison lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Stevison lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Stevison lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Stevison drives a solid right hook into Palin's ribcage.  
Palin hits home with a cross.  
Stevison is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Stevison gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Stevison steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Stevison thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Palin away.  Stevison whips in a big left hook to his opponents body.  PALIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Stevison whips in a spiteful right uppercut to his opponents body.  PALIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Palin's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Palin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES PALIN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Stevison!
