Mark Higgins vs Rocco Palagi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-New York State promoted show at Felippe Orihuela Gym, New York City,  taking place on 08/01/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-New York State Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark the Shark Higgins (36(17) - 11(8) - 4) who hails from Syracuse, USA and Rocco Palagi(19 - 22(2) - 3) from New York City, USA.  Both Higgins and Palagi weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Busto, and the three ringside judges are Mike Dever, Mark Hughes and James Daley.  

Round 1: 

Higgins steps inside.  Higgins sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Palagi throws a left hook, but Higgins clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Higgins pushes his forearm into Palagi's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Higgins about fouling.  
Palagi gets on the inside.  Higgins lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Higgins clinches his opponent.  Higgins leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Higgins tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Palagi throws a right hook, but Higgins holds on to his opponent.  Higgins is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Higgins lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Higgins gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Higgins clinches his opponent.  Higgins leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Palagi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Higgins lands with a sharp jab.  
Higgins lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Higgins tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance.  Higgins sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Higgins lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  Higgins holds on to his opponent.  Higgins is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Palagi throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Higgins lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Palagi almost instantly recovers. 
Higgins is on target with a sharp right hook to Palagi's ribs.  
Higgins closes the distance.  Higgins digs in a sharp right hook to Palagi's ribcage.  As Palagi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Higgins has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Higgins lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Palagi recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Higgins lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance.  Higgins pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Palagi attempts to land a left hook, but Higgins sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Higgins lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Higgins pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Higgins steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Palagi manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Higgins digs in a sharp left uppercut to Palagi's liver.  
Higgins lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Higgins is on target with a cross.  
Higgins steps inside and drives a right hook into Palagi's ribs.  
Higgins lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Higgins advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Palagi's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Palagi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Higgins advances into close range.  Higgins sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Palagi's ribcage.  
Palagi tries to land a left hook, but Higgins blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Higgins is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Higgins lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Palagi closes the distance.  Higgins lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Higgins attempts to land a left hook, but Palagi blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Higgins lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Higgins steps inside.  The right shot from Higgins could be enough to force the stoppage!  Higgins lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS PALAGI TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Higgins!
