Sam McCormick vs James Whitson

Boxing Daily Report from the MCK MARBELLA promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 26/01/2041:

Clearly MCK MARBELLA have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam McCormick (25 - 11(5) - 2) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and James Whitson(19(4) - 10(2) - 1) from Cork, Ireland.  Both McCormick and Whitson weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Dillon, and the three ringside judges are Carl Lyons, Charlie Brisbane and Leon Finnin.  

Round 1: 

Whitson gets on the inside.  McCormick pivots to the left of his opponent.  Whitson lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.
