Jordan Pendry vs Zach MacDonald

Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 28/01/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jordan Pendry (6 - 0) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Zach MacDonald(5 - 5 - 2) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Pendry and MacDonald weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Mahtesyan, and the three ringside judges are Alastair MacIntyre, Callum Mairs and Andy Wright.  

Round 1: 

Pendry gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Pendry holds on to his opponent.  Pendry pushes his forearm into MacDonald's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pendry about fouling.  
MacDonald tries to keep the action at long range.  Pendry lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pendry lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  MacDonald recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
MacDonald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Pendry's ribcage.  
Pendry hits home with a left hook.  
Pendry advances into close range.  MacDonald pivots to the side of his opponent.  MacDonald throws a left hook, but Pendry holds on to his opponent.  Pendry leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pendry lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pendry manouvers MacDonald into a neutral corner.  Pendry lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pendry feints a jab, tricking MacDonald into countering with a left hook.  Pendry avoids the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Pendry is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Pendry lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pendry advances into close range and drives a right hook into MacDonald's ribs.  
Pendry lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
MacDonald steps to the outside.  Pendry lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Pendry is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to MacDonald's body.  
Pendry steps inside.  MacDonald throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Pendry ties up his opponent.  Pendry leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pendry is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping MacDonald in the blue corner.  MacDonald throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Pendry clinches his opponent.  Pendry pushes his forearm into MacDonald's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pendry.  
Pendry is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Pendry drives a sharp right hook into MacDonald's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacDonald's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

MacDonald throws a left hook, but Pendry ties up his opponent.  Pendry leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pendry quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Pendry closes the distance and digs in a telling left hook to MacDonald's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACDONALD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Pendry manages to force MacDonald into the blue corner.  Pendry senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop MacDonald and just needs the right shot.  Pendry lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a cross to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  It looks like MacDonald has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Pendry advances into close range.  Pendry sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pendry lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pendry lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  MacDonald quickly recovers. 
Pendry is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Pendry connects with a right hook.  
MacDonald tries to land a jab, but Pendry slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Pendry is on target with a sharp left uppercut to MacDonald's liver.  
Pendry advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pendry gets on the inside and slams a hurtful left hook into his opponents ribs.  MACDONALD IS HURT!  Pendry ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pendry pushes his forearm into MacDonald's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pendry about fouling.  MacDonald recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pendry is on target with a BRUTAL right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACDONALD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  MacDonald almost instantly gets his legs back.

Pendry closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Pendry holds on to his opponent.  Pendry leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  MacDonald almost instantly recovers. 
Pendry connects with a WICKED left hook.  MACDONALD IS HURT!  Pendry attempts to land a left hook, but MacDonald blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
MacDonald switches the action to the outside.  Pendry is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Pendry lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head, AND MACDONALD IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Pendry!
