Santiago Ozuna vs Gig Calixto

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Gimnasio Teodoro Palacios Flores, Guatemala City,  taking place on 07/02/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Guatemala Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Azteca, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Ozuna (37(26) - 6(5)) who hails from Mixco, Guatemala and Gig Calixto(17(1) - 4) from Guatemala City, Guatemala.  Ozuna weighed in at 154 pounds, while Calixto weighed in at 154 pounds and 10 ounces.    As Calixto came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Alfonso Ureno, and the three ringside judges are Saturnin Marcelino, Quico Cobian and Francisco Copas.

Calixto switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Calixto tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Ozuna pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ozuna is on target with a stinging jab.  Ozuna attempts to land a jab, but Calixto slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ozuna lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Ozuna steps to the outside.  Ozuna senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Ozuna slams a big left hook into Calixto's body.  DOWN GOES CALIXTO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Ozuna lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING CALIXTO DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Calixto has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Calixto tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Calixto voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ozuna steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Ozuna lands a left uppercut, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.

Ozuna steps to the outside.  Ozuna feints a cross, and then throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ozuna pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Ozuna snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Calixto is on target with a cross.  
Ozuna lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Calixto lands an overhand right.  
Ozuna lands a cross to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the body.  
Calixto lands a spiteful jab.  
Calixto lands with a solid jab.  
Ozuna is looking to keep his distance.  Ozuna quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Calixto tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a FIERCE right hook.  CALIXTO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT CALIXTO CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Ozuna!
