Hiroki Hagiwara vs Jiro Kanai

Boxing Daily Report from the Jely Pr. promoted show at Osaka Mori, Osaka,  taking place on 22/01/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Osaka Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hiroki Hagiwara (18 - 22(2) - 8) who hails from Suita, Japan and Jiro Kanai(3 - 2 - 3) from Osaka, Japan.  Both Hagiwara and Kanai weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuji Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Satoru Goda, Goro Tsuchida and Naoki Koyama.  

Round 1: 

Kanai lands a cross.  
Hagiwara lands a cross.  
Hagiwara steps to the outside.  Kanai lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Hagiwara sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kanai attempts to land a jab, but Hagiwara slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kanai gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Hagiwara's ribs.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hagiwara dabs at his face checking for damage.  Hagiwara has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hagiwara's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hagiwara's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Kanai's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
