Stephen Callacghan vs Chris Ewen

Boxing Daily Report from the Western Promotions promoted show at Western Gym International, Liverpool,  taking place on 11/02/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Stephen Callacghan (3(3) - 0) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Chris Ewen(4 - 22(2) - 5) from London, UK.  Both Callacghan and Ewen weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodric Valentine, and the three ringside judges are Jack Keefe, Zain Salam and Matt McFee.  

Round 1: 

Ewen closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Callacghan clinches his opponent.  Callacghan pushes his forearm into Ewen's face.  The referee warns Callacghan and breaks the clinch.  
Callacghan lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Callacghan holds on to his opponent.  Callacghan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Callacghan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Callacghan sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Callacghan lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Callacghan holds on to his opponent.  Callacghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Callacghan is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Ewen's ribs.  
Callacghan lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Callacghan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ewen throws a left hook, but Callacghan clinches his opponent.  Callacghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Callacghan lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Callacghan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Callacghan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING EWEN TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Ewen quickly recovers. 
Callacghan hits home with a right hook.  
Ewen walks Callacghan down, trapping him on the ropes.  Callacghan digs in a left hook to Ewen's body.  
Callacghan is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Callacghan lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Callacghan cuts off the ring, trapping Ewen on the ropes.  Callacghan lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Callacghan lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Callacghan sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Callacghan lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING EWEN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Ewen now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ewen's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Ewen's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ewen's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Callacghan lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Callacghan holds on to his opponent.  Callacghan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ewen behind the head. Callacghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Ewen recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Callacghan is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Callacghan digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Callacghan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Callacghan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Callacghan ties up his opponent.  Callacghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Callacghan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Callacghan thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Ewen away.  Callacghan lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND EWEN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Callacghan lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND EWEN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Ewen has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Callacghan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents body.  EWEN IS HURT!  
Callacghan stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Callacghan lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND EWEN IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Callacghan crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right hook to his opponents body.  EWEN IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE EWEN THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Callacghan!
