Ryo Sako vs Naoki Hasegawa

Boxing Daily Report from the BUSHIDO Promotions promoted show at Hakodate Kure, Hakodate,  taking place on 30/01/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Hokkaido Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryo Sako (12(5) - 1) who hails from Asahikawa, Japan and Naoki Hasegawa(9 - 6 - 2) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Sako and Hasegawa weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Raiden Takamoto, and the three ringside judges are Yoshi Kawahara, Fumio Ogura and Michi Fujikawa.  

Round 1: 

Sako digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Hasegawa pivots from in front of his opponent.  Sako finds the target with a jab.  
Sako steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Hasegawa's body.  
Sako connects with a solid left hook.  
Sako is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Sako tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sako gets on the inside.  Sako drives a sharp right hook into Hasegawa's ribs.  As Hasegawa tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sako dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sako connects with a left hook.  
Sako lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sako ties up his opponent.  Sako is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sako.  
Sako is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Hasegawa is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Sako lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sako steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sako hits home with a right hook.  Sako clinches his opponent.  Sako is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

Sako pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hasegawa's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hasegawa's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Hasegawa's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Hasegawa's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Sako steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Sako clinches his opponent.  Sako tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hasegawa behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sako dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Sako.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Sako pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hasegawa tries to land a jab, but Sako slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to Hasegawa's ribs.  
Hasegawa hits home with a cross.
