Ruhi Hemania vs Alastair Finnie

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Brett Cammon Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 30/01/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ruhi Hemania (3(1) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Alastair Finnie(5 - 10(1)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Hemania weighed in at 147 pounds, while Finnie weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mel Binner, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Laurie, Keka Paratene and Geoff Symington.  

Round 1: 

Hemania gets on the inside.  Finnie throws a left hook, but Hemania holds on to his opponent.  Hemania is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hemania is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hemania manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Hemania pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania drives a solid left hook into Finnie's body.  
Hemania drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Hemania tries to land a right hook, but Finnie parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hemania lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Finnie throws a right hook, but Hemania ties up his opponent.  Hemania leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hemania lands a solid jab.  
Hemania lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania gets on the inside and drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  Hemania holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Hemania pushes his forearm into Finnie's face.  The referee warns Hemania and breaks the clinch.  
Finnie gets on the inside.  Hemania lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hemania lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hemania advances into close range and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents liver.  
Hemania tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hemania lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hemania feints a jab, fooling Finnie into throwing a cross counter.  Hemania springs the trap, countering with  a stinging right uppercut.  
Hemania gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Hemania ties up his opponent.  Hemania leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hemania senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Finnie and just needs the right shot.  Hemania lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND FINNIE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Finnie now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Finnie's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Finnie advances into close range.  Hemania digs in a solid right hook to Finnie's body.  
Hemania is on target with a left uppercut.  
Hemania finds the target with a jab.  
Hemania closes the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Hemania lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND FINNIE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Finnie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hemania lands with a hard jab.  
Hemania walks Finnie down, trapping him in a corner.  Hemania lands a right hook to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Hemania drives a stinging left hook into Finnie's body.  
Hemania lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND FINNIE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Hemania senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Finnie and just needs the right shot.  Hemania lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS FINNIE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hemania!
