Afanas Konchikov vs Boris Gaikov

Boxing Daily Report from the Chelelwa Promotions promoted show at Kemerovo Popoff, Kemerovo,  taking place on 01/02/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Kemerovo Oblast Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Afanas Konchikov (5 - 1(1) - 1) who hails from Prokopyevsk, Russia and Boris Gaikov(2 - 6 - 1) from Kemerovo, Russia.  Both Konchikov and Gaikov weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fadei Klevsov, and the three ringside judges are Valeri Emelianenko, Boris Danilin and Boris Chaplin.  

Round 1: 

Gaikov pivots to the right of his opponent.  Konchikov tries to land a jab, but Gaikov slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gaikov dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gaikov has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
