Montenegro Machado vs Carlos Buelna

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Tamaulipas promoted show at Porfio Saez Gym, Reynosa,  taking place on 09/02/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Tamaulipas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Machado (22 - 11(1) - 7 - 1(NC)) who hails from Reynosa, Mexico and Carlos Buelna(24(6) - 2 - 4) from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.  Both Machado and Buelna weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Senor, and the three ringside judges are Selestino Berlanga, Vicente Flores and Juan Alvarez.  

Round 1: 

Buelna advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Machado steps to the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Buelna has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
