Denton Begg vs Davie Piat

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 07/02/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Denton Begg (5(5) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Davie Piat(7 - 10(1) - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Begg and Piat weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Erec Adore, and the three ringside judges are Paris Clarin, Nicholas Prior and Jean-Baptiste Camus.  

Round 1: 

Begg gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Begg lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Begg and breaks the clinch.  
Begg lands a stinging cross.  
Begg closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Begg hits home with a stiff jab.  
Begg hits home with a left hook.  
Begg closes the distance.  Piat throws a right hook, but Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Begg manouvers Piat into the corner.  Begg lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Begg throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Begg holds on to his opponent.  Begg uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Piat behind the head. Begg is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Begg advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  Begg clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Begg pushes his forearm into Piat's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Begg is on target with a right hook to Piat's ribs.  
Begg walks Piat onto the ropes.  Begg lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Begg lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Begg lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Begg advances into close range and drives a solid left hook into Piat's body.  
Begg is on target with a firm left hook to Piat's body.  Begg holds on to his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Begg manages to force Piat into the corner.  Begg lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Begg lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Piat quickly recovers.

Begg lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING PIAT TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Begg holds on to his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Begg pushes his forearm into Piat's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Begg to stop fouling.  Piat quickly recovers. 
Begg lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Piat almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Begg lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Piat's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Piat's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Piat's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Begg steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Begg lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Begg walks Piat into the red corner.  Begg lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Begg is on target with a left uppercut.  
Begg sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Begg connects with a powerful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE PIAT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Piat recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Frustration is starting to boil over for Piat now.    He throws a hook, and catches Begg low!  The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Begg.  
Begg steps inside.  Begg quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Begg is on target with a solid right hook to Piat's ribs.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Begg advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Begg drives a sharp left hook into Piat's ribs.  
Begg manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Begg quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Piat attempts to land a left hook, but Begg slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Begg lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Piat quickly recovers. 
Begg lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND PIAT IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Begg!
