Desiderio Virgen vs Denton Messer

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Rochester Riverside Convention Center, Rochester,  taking place on 02/03/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Desiderio Virgen (10(3) - 2(1) - 2) who hails from Henderson, USA and Denton Messer(44 - 14 - 1) from Houston, USA.  Virgen weighed in at 227 pounds and 1 ounces, while Messer weighed in at 226 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Fidler, and the three ringside judges are Adam Kenny, John Purcell and Chris Kinnick.  

Round 1: 

Messer steps to the outside.  Virgen lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Virgen drives a left uppercut into Messer's body.  
Messer lands a cross.  
Virgen gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Virgen holds on to his opponent.  Virgen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
