Beau Batton vs John Hanlin

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 01/03/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Beau Batton (2(2) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and John Hanlin(5 - 22(3) - 5) from Montreal, Canada.  Both Batton and Hanlin weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Louis Gillespie, and the three ringside judges are James Dunlap, Aramis Duvauchelle and Michael Patillo.  

Round 1: 

Batton closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Batton lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Batton gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton walks Hanlin down, trapping him in a corner.  Batton lands a sharp right hook.  
Batton lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Batton is on target with a firm right hook.  Batton ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Batton pushes his forearm into Hanlin's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Batton to stop fouling.  
Batton lands a right uppercut.  Batton clinches his opponent.  Batton is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Batton's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Batton is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Batton is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Batton lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS HANLIN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Batton lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Batton holds on to his opponent.  Batton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  It looks like Hanlin has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Hanlin closes the distance and manouvers Batton onto the ropes.  Batton is on target with a firm right hook.

Batton lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Batton sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  It looks like Hanlin has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Batton lands two left hook's to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Batton advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Batton slams a mean left hook into his opponents liver.  HANLIN IS HURT!  Batton clinches his opponent.  Batton leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Batton to stop holding.  Hanlin recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Batton manages to force Hanlin into the corner.  Batton connects with a right hook.  
Batton advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Batton lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Batton lands a jab.  
Batton digs in a right uppercut to Hanlin's ribs.  
Batton is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook.

Batton SLAMS a HUGE left hook into his opponents face.  HANLIN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Hanlin quickly recovers. 
Batton lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Batton manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Batton knows Hanlin is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Batton DETONATES a big right hook on his opponents face.  DOWN GOES HANLIN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  However, the ref is not convinced Hanlin is fit to continue. He waves off the fight!  The winner by TKO is Batton!
