Georges Beal vs Thomas Carmody

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Titanic Quater, Belfast,  taking place on 08/04/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Georges Beal (17 - 19 - 6) who hails from Brest, France and Thomas Carmody(23(8) - 4 - 1) from Limerick, Ireland.  Both Beal and Carmody weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Gallagher, and the three ringside judges are Josh Brannon, Eoin McPhee and Cillian Dolan.  

Round 1: 

Beal throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Carmody steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Carmody steps inside.  Carmody hits home with a firm right hook.  Carmody wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Beal dabs at his face checking for damage.

That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
