Larenzo Caro vs Diego Montijo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Monterrey Bedoya, Monterrey,  taking place on 27/03/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Larenzo Caro (8(3) - 4) who hails from Guadalupe, Mexico and Diego Montijo(10 - 15(1) - 8 - 1(NC)) from San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.  Caro weighed in at 107 pounds And 8 ounces, while Montijo weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Andino, and the three ringside judges are Guido Castilla, Neper Bea and Carlos Rochel.  

Round 1: 

Caro gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Caro clinches his opponent.  Caro is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Caro's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Caro connects with a left hook.  Caro holds on to his opponent.  Caro leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Montijo is looking to keep his distance.  Caro lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Caro lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS MONTIJO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Caro ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Caro pushes his forearm into Montijo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Caro about fouling.  
Caro lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Caro lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Caro sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Caro lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  It looks like Montijo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Caro digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.

Montijo steps to the outside.  Caro is on target with a cross.  
Caro gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Caro clinches his opponent.  Caro leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Caro lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Caro lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Caro lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Caro drives a left uppercut into Montijo's body.  
Caro drives a potent right hook into his opponents ribs.  MONTIJO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Caro lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Caro attempts to land a cross, but Montijo parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Caro lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Caro ties up his opponent.  Caro is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Caro's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Caro lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Caro lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Montijo's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Montijo throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Caro forces Montijo to retreat into the red corner.  Caro hits home with a left uppercut.  Caro holds on to his opponent.  Caro uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Montijo behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Caro is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Caro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Caro steps inside and walks Montijo into a neutral corner.  Caro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Montijo almost instantly recovers. 
Caro lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Caro digs in a right hook to Montijo's body.  
Caro closes the distance and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Caro walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Caro drives a sharp left uppercut into Montijo's liver.  MONTIJO IS HURT!  
Caro senses Montijo is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Caro lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND MONTIJO IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Caro lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MONTIJO TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Caro!
