Justin Burgess vs John Gilbride

Boxing Daily Report from the Greedy Promotions promoted show at Raven Gym, Macon,  taking place on 19/04/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Justin Burgess (7(4) - 0) who hails from Augusta, USA and John Gilbride(5 - 5 - 1) from San Antonio, USA.  Burgess weighed in at 175 pounds, while Gilbride weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Orem, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Bonnar, Fraser Walker and Arnie Curtis.  

Round 1: 

Burgess closes the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Burgess clinches his opponent.  Burgess pushes his forearm into Gilbride's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Burgess.  
Burgess lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Burgess lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Burgess forces Gilbride to back into a corner.  Burgess lands a left hook to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body.  
Burgess is on target with a right hook.  
Burgess lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Burgess lands a right hook.  Burgess ties up his opponent.  Gilbride is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Burgess lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Gilbride throws a left hook, but Burgess holds on to his opponent.  Burgess is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Burgess about fouling.  
Gilbride throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Gilbride pivots from in front of his opponent.  Burgess lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Burgess lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Burgess is on target with a right uppercut to Gilbride's body.  
Burgess drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Burgess advances into close range and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Burgess sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Burgess quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Gilbride's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gilbride's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Gilbride's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Burgess closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Gilbride quickly recovers. 
Burgess lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Burgess holds on to his opponent.  Burgess tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gilbride's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Burgess.

Burgess lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.
