Rex Sim vs Asif Tariq

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Phoenix Barlas, Phoenix,  taking place on 05/04/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Arizona Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rex Sim (36(31) - 8(2) - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Yuma, USA and Asif Tariq(12 - 26(6) - 5) from Phoenix, USA.  Sim weighed in at 134 pounds And 14 ounces, while Tariq weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Venacio Abeita, and the three ringside judges are Denton Dryburgh, Santiago Sanabria and Ashley Probert.  

Round 1: 

Tariq throws a left hook, but Sim ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Tariq's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sim drives a stinging right hook into Tariq's ribs.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim pushes his forearm into Tariq's face.  The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sim lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Sim clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Tariq's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tariq throws a left hook, but Sim holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Tariq's face.  The referee warns Sim and breaks the clinch.  
Sim sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Sim lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Tariq quickly recovers. 
Sim is on target with a left hook.  
Sim lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Sim cuts off the ring, trapping Tariq in the blue corner.  Sim pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Sim pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Sim digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Sim is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Tariq's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE TARIQ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Tariq recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sim drives a right uppercut into Tariq's ribs.  
Sim is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Tariq behind the head. 
Sim walks his opponent into a corner.  Sim sidesteps to the right of his opponent and whips in a hurtful right hook to Tariq's body.  TARIQ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Tariq quickly recovers. 
Sim lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sim drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Sim lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS TARIQ DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  Tariq recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sim lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Sim senses Tariq is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Sim lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, DROPPING TARIQ TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Sim!
