Colin Groves vs Vince Chalmers

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Ken Selkirk Gym, Boston,  taking place on 08/04/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Massachusetts Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Groves (13(6) - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Vince Chalmers(22(4) - 6(1) - 5 - 1(NC)) from Boston, USA.  Both Groves and Chalmers weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Sproule, and the three ringside judges are Richard Gwenn, Owen Saunders and Sam Evans.  

Round 1: 

Groves quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Groves advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Groves hits home with a cross.  
Groves lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Chalmers steps inside and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Groves clinches his opponent.  Groves is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Groves about fouling.  
Chalmers throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Groves is looking to keep his distance.  Chalmers attempts to land a jab, but Groves slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Chalmers walks Groves down, trapping him on the ropes.  Groves is on target with a left uppercut.

Chalmers steps inside.  Groves lands a FEARSOME left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE CHALMERS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Chalmers almost instantly gets his legs back.
