Ian Lanman vs Gethin Apted

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, Lancaster,  taking place on 31/03/2041:

Clearly Ringside Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ian Lanman (9(7) - 3) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Gethin Apted(2 - 1) from Birmingham, UK.  Both Lanman and Apted weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adam Moreno, and the three ringside judges are Dave Carrasco, Blake Travis and Joey Catherwood.  

Round 1: 

Lanman gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Lanman holds on to his opponent.  Lanman pushes his forearm into Apted's face.  The ref breaks Lanman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Lanman clinches his opponent.  Lanman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Apted is looking to keep his distance.  Lanman lands a cross to the body, an overhand right to the head and a cross to the head.  
Lanman gets on the inside and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Lanman ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Lanman pushes his forearm into Apted's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lanman to stop fouling.  
Lanman forces Apted to retreat into a corner.  Apted throws a right hook, but Lanman holds on to his opponent.  Lanman uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Apted behind the head. 
Lanman lands a left hook to the body, a jab to the head and a cross to the head.  
Lanman gets on the inside.  Apted throws a left hook, but Lanman ties up his opponent.  Lanman leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lanman closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Lanman lands two left uppercut's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Lanman ties up his opponent.  Lanman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Lanman pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lanman gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Apted's body.  
Lanman connects with a firm cross.  
Lanman is on target with a sharp cross.  
Lanman lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Lanman lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Lanman steps inside.  Apted pivots from in front of his opponent.  Apted throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Lanman lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Lanman ties up his opponent.  Lanman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lanman steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Lanman lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Lanman holds on to his opponent.  Lanman throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Lanman is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lanman steps inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Apted quickly recovers. 
Lanman steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Lanman lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.

Lanman senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Lanman lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND APTED IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Lanman!
