Fresco Pena vs Nasario Santiago

Boxing Daily Report from the Mwanambulo Promotions promoted show at Panama City Bohorquez, Panama City,  taking place on 15/04/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Panama Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NEXtv, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fresco Pena (5 - 9(3) - 2) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Nasario Santiago(16(11) - 3(3)) from Panama City, Panama.  Both Pena and Santiago weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vidal Peraza, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Trigo, Zelipe Gonzaga and Jax Alpizar.  

Round 1: 

Pena attempts to land a cross, but Santiago dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Santiago lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Santiago ties up his opponent.  Santiago pushes his forearm into Pena's face.  The ref breaks Santiago's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Santiago finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Santiago steps inside.  Pena pivots from in front of his opponent.  Pena throws a right hook, but Santiago ties up his opponent.  Santiago is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Santiago and breaks the clinch.  
Santiago gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Santiago ties up his opponent.  Santiago tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pena behind the head. 
Santiago forces Pena to retreat into the corner.  Santiago lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Santiago lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Santiago dabs at his face checking for damage.

Pena throws a right hook, but Santiago clinches his opponent.  Santiago is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Santiago lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Santiago wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Pena has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Santiago advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.
