Edmundo Alvidrez vs Cruz Hinojos

Boxing Daily Report from the Chigaga Promotions promoted show at Santa Cruz de la Sie Santander, Santa Cruz de la Sierra,  taking place on 15/04/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Bolivia-Santa Cruz Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edmundo Alvidrez (7 - 3) who hails from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and Cruz Hinojos(1 - 4(1) - 2) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Both Alvidrez and Hinojos weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Marcia, and the three ringside judges are Ora Salido, Enzo Sandino and Larenzo Cordova.  

Round 1: 

Hinojos steps inside.  Alvidrez drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Alvidrez holds on to his opponent.  Alvidrez uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hinojos behind the head. 
Hinojos lands a cross.  
Alvidrez lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Alvidrez digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Alvidrez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alvidrez closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alvidrez digs in a solid right hook to Hinojos's body.  
Alvidrez connects with a left uppercut.  
Alvidrez lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Alvidrez steps inside and is on target with a solid left hook to Hinojos's body.  Alvidrez attempts to land a left hook, but Hinojos slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Alvidrez lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Alvidrez clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Alvidrez pushes his forearm into Hinojos's face.  The referee warns Alvidrez and breaks the clinch.  
Hinojos walks Alvidrez down, trapping him on the ropes.  Alvidrez is on target with a stinging jab.  
Alvidrez digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Alvidrez lands a jab.  
Hinojos steps inside.  Alvidrez drives a left hook into Hinojos's body.  Alvidrez ties up his opponent.  Alvidrez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hinojos behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Alvidrez.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hinojos's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Hinojos throws a left uppercut, but Alvidrez holds on to his opponent.  Alvidrez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Alvidrez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Alvidrez digs in a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  Alvidrez clinches his opponent.  Alvidrez throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Alvidrez and breaks the clinch.  
Alvidrez steps inside and forces Hinojos to back into a neutral corner.  Alvidrez lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Alvidrez throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Alvidrez is on target with a right uppercut.

Alvidrez gets on the inside.  Alvidrez drives a sharp left hook into Hinojos's body.  As Alvidrez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hinojos dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alvidrez advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hinojos feints a left, and then hits home with a cross.  
Alvidrez lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Alvidrez knows Hinojos is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Alvidrez lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS HINOJOS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Alvidrez cuts off the ring, trapping Hinojos in the corner.  Alvidrez digs in a forceful right uppercut to his opponents body.  HINOJOS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Hinojos now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Alvidrez digs in a telling left hook to Hinojos's liver.  HINOJOS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Hinojos almost instantly recovers.

Alvidrez gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Alvidrez advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hinojos dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alvidrez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Alvidrez connects with a forceful right hook.  HINOJOS IS HURT!  
Alvidrez senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Alvidrez lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND SENDS HINOJOS TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Alvidrez!
