Bruce Beattie vs Carlos Barrio

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at House of Blues, Boston,  taking place on 18/05/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bruce Beattie (9(3) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Carlos Barrio(13 - 17 - 5) from Mar del Plata, Argentina.  Both Beattie and Barrio weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charles Keath, and the three ringside judges are Peter Cooper, Elliot Ogle and Peter Cooper.  

Round 1: 

Beattie steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Beattie throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Beattie holds on to his opponent.  Beattie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Beattie to stop fouling.  
Beattie lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Beattie holds on to his opponent.  Beattie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Beattie gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Barrio's body.  Beattie holds on to his opponent.  Beattie uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Barrio behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Beattie steps inside and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Beattie is on target with a right hook to Barrio's ribcage.  
Beattie digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Beattie ties up his opponent.  Beattie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Beattie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Beattie feints a jab, tricking Barrio into countering with a left hook.  Beattie is waiting for the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Beattie lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Beattie drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Beattie steps inside and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.

Barrio steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Beattie slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Beattie is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Beattie clinches his opponent.  Beattie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Beattie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Beattie lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Beattie ties up his opponent.  Beattie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Beattie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Barrio behind the head. As they grapple, Beattie pushes his forearm into Barrio's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Barrio almost instantly recovers. 
Beattie is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Beattie advances into close range and drives a right hook into Barrio's ribcage.  
Beattie digs in a left hook to Barrio's body.  
Beattie walks Barrio down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Beattie digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barrio's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Barrio's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Beattie throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Beattie ties up his opponent.  Beattie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Beattie uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Barrio behind the head.

Beattie lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Barrio quickly recovers. 
Beattie pivots to the side of his opponent and crashes a mean left hook to Barrio's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE BARRIO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Barrio quickly recovers. 
Beattie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING BARRIO TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Beattie!
