Diego Merino vs Desiderio Naranjo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiberu Promotions promoted show at Valencia Balles, Valencia,  taking place on 03/05/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Comunidad Valenciana Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Merino (11(1) - 20(1) - 5) who hails from Alicante, Spain and Desiderio Naranjo(17(8) - 1(1)) from Elche, Spain.  Merino weighed in at 174 pounds And 2 ounces, while Naranjo weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jerrold Armando, and the three ringside judges are Angel Galea, Diego Bail and Fresco Briseno.  

Round 1: 

Naranjo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Naranjo advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Naranjo holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Naranjo pushes his forearm into Merino's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Naranjo.
