Lang Vien vs Ha Cuong

Boxing Daily Report from the Khong Minh promoted show at Minh Dinh Gym, Ho Chi Minh City,  taking place on 06/05/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Vietnam-South Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lang Vien (4 - 2 - 1) who hails from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Ha Cuong(15(4) - 15 - 1) from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Vien weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces, while Cuong weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Voong Ba, and the three ringside judges are Hoang Toan, Dung Truc and Phu Ba.  

Round 1: 

Vien steps away from his opponent.  Cuong connects with a stinging overhand right.  Cuong tries to land a cross, but Vien slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Cuong's ribs.
