John Peedin vs Dylan Mesquita

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Maison du Citoyen, Gaineau,  taking place on 23/06/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Peedin (8 - 0) who hails from Laval, Canada and Dylan Mesquita(4 - 16(2) - 2) from El Paso, USA.  Both Peedin and Mesquita weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cable Halimi, and the three ringside judges are Prewitt Gedeon, Grant Pierre-Louis and Aaron Henry.  

Round 1: 

Peedin gets on the inside and lands a solid left hook.  
Peedin is on target with a right uppercut.  
Peedin is on target with a left uppercut to Mesquita's liver.  
Peedin lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Peedin holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Peedin pushes his forearm into Mesquita's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Peedin is on target with a right uppercut to Mesquita's ribcage.  Peedin ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Peedin pushes his forearm into Mesquita's face.  The referee warns Peedin and breaks the clinch.

Mesquita feints a right, and then hits home with a cross.  
Mesquita steps inside.  Peedin is on target with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mesquita's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mesquita's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Mesquita's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peedin dabs at his face checking for damage.  Peedin has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
