Dimos Monteiro vs Guido Padua

Boxing Daily Report from the Vinicius Gomes promoted show at Rio de Janeiro Vala, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 18/05/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Rio de Janeiro Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dimos Monteiro (11 - 11 - 6) who hails from Sao Goncalo, Brazil and Guido Padua(12 - 17(1) - 4) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Both Monteiro and Padua weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bronco Garrido, and the three ringside judges are Jax Carlos, Cipriano Magro and Eduardo Mato.  

Round 1: 

Padua switches the action to the outside.  Monteiro lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Monteiro closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Monteiro wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Padua dabs at his face checking for damage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Monteiro.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
