Gianfranco De Silvestri vs Nero Maffeo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Tuscany promoted show at Florence Turro, Florence,  taking place on 26/05/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Italy-Tuscany Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gianfranco De Silvestri (24(15) - 7(4) - 1) who hails from Prato, Italy and Nero Maffeo(15 - 13(3) - 7) from Florence, Italy.  Both De Silvestri and Maffeo weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Valerio Conte, and the three ringside judges are Vittore Bortone, Luigi Libertini and Sergio Leo.  

Round 1: 

De Silvestri lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Maffeo is looking to close the distance.  De Silvestri pivots from in front of his opponent.  De Silvestri digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  De Silvestri ties up his opponent. De Silvestri connects with a firm right hook.  
Maffeo advances into close range.  De Silvestri lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  De Silvestri clinches his opponent.  De Silvestri tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Maffeo behind the head. 
De Silvestri is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
De Silvestri sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Maffeo tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
De Silvestri steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
De Silvestri lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
De Silvestri steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
De Silvestri lands an overhand left, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
De Silvestri is on target with a jab.  
Maffeo closes the distance.  De Silvestri sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
De Silvestri lands with a sharp jab.  
De Silvestri is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Maffeo steps inside.  De Silvestri pivots from in front of his opponent.  Maffeo throws a right hook, but De Silvestri ties up his opponent.  Maffeo pushes his forearm into De Silvestri's face.  The referee warns Maffeo and breaks the clinch.  
De Silvestri is looking to keep the action on the outside.  De Silvestri feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
De Silvestri is looking to keep his distance.  De Silvestri sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Maffeo tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maffeo's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Maffeo's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Maffeo's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

De Silvestri switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.

De Silvestri tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, DROPPING MAFFEO TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is De Silvestri!
