Rob Wamwere vs Jay Mboya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Ruiru Msolla, Ruiru,  taking place on 28/05/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kiambu Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Wamwere (14(6) - 7(5)) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Jay Mboya(4 - 25(2) - 5) from Ruiru, Kenya.  Both Wamwere and Mboya weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haider Ben, and the three ringside judges are Amon Lai, Amon Lai and Jake Merande.  

Round 1: 

Wamwere is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Wamwere ties up his opponent.  Wamwere pushes his forearm into Mboya's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Wamwere.  
Wamwere steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Wamwere holds on to his opponent.  Wamwere leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Wamwere is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Mboya's body.  
Wamwere sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Wamwere quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Wamwere manouvers Mboya into a corner.  Wamwere lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS MBOYA!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Wamwere clinches his opponent.  Wamwere is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Mboya almost instantly recovers. 
Wamwere lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Wamwere pivots to the side of his opponent.  Wamwere throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Wamwere lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Wamwere holds on to his opponent.  Wamwere leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Wamwere connects with a left hook.  
Mboya throws a right hook, but Wamwere ties up his opponent.  Wamwere leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Wamwere's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wamwere is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Wamwere manages to force Mboya into the corner.  Wamwere is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Wamwere lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Wamwere hits home with a right hook.  Wamwere ties up his opponent.  Wamwere leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Wamwere's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Mboya tries to land a cross, but Wamwere blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to Mboya's body.

Wamwere walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Wamwere lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Wamwere sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a potent left hook into Mboya's body.  DOWN GOES MBOYA!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.

Wamwere is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Mboya now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Wamwere steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Wamwere is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!
