Stuart Melendez vs Sam Cook

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-New York State promoted show at The Grand Ballroom at The Plaza, New York City,  taking place on 04/06/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Stuart Melendez (18 - 5 - 2) who hails from New York City, USA and Sam Cook(16(8) - 3) from Boston, USA.  Both Melendez and Cook weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joel Domenici, and the three ringside judges are Billy Byrnes, Chris Chisolm and Mark Losurdo.  

Round 1: 

Melendez steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Cook lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cook lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Cook holds on to his opponent.  Cook pushes his forearm into Melendez's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cook to stop fouling.  
Cook lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND MELENDEZ IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Cook lands a ramrod jab.  
Cook pivots to the right of his opponent.  Melendez throws a left hook, but Cook holds on to his opponent.  Cook tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Melendez behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cook to stop fouling.  
Cook lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Cook is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Melendez is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  Melendez throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Melendez pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cook hits home with a cross.  
Cook gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING MELENDEZ DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Melendez quickly recovers. 
Cook lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Melendez quickly recovers. 
Cook is on target with a firm right hook.  
Cook walks Melendez into a corner.  Cook lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Cook holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Cook pushes his forearm into Melendez's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cook about fouling.  
Cook is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cook digs in a weighty left hook to his opponents ribs.  MELENDEZ IS HURT!  
Cook senses Melendez is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Cook lands a right uppercut to the head, a cross to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND DROPS MELENDEZ!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Cook!
