Robert Dripps vs Antwan Aitkens

Boxing Daily Report from the Kronk Gym II promoted show at Warren Hawthorn, Warren,  taking place on 06/06/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Dripps (10 - 18 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Detroit, USA and Antwan Aitkens(8 - 16(2) - 8) from Detroit, USA.  Dripps weighed in at 146 pounds And 5 ounces, while Aitkens weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phil Boydston, and the three ringside judges are John Kennan, Ian Duffey and Chris Perk.  

Round 1: 

Dripps connects with a cross.  
Aitkens hits home with a left hook.  
Dripps pivots to the left of his opponent.  Aitkens lands a cross.  
Dripps sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Aitkens attempts to land a jab, but Dripps dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Aitkens's ribs.

Dripps is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Aitkens pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Dripps switches the action to the outside.  Aitkens contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Dripps lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.
