Zafa Azzam vs Shankar Rajan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Tehran promoted show at Shahid Keshvari Hall, Tehran,  taking place on 14/06/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Iran Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Zafa Azzam (15(1) - 5(4)) who hails from Isfahan, Iran and Shankar Rajan(28 - 15(3) - 4) from Tehran, Iran.  Both Azzam and Rajan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hemant Paswan, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Sharifi, Sajid Burki and Ming Bin.  

Round 1: 

Azzam steps inside.  Azzam pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rajan manouvers Azzam onto the ropes.  Azzam digs in a sharp left uppercut to Rajan's body.

Azzam closes the distance.  Azzam lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Azzam clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Azzam pushes his forearm into Rajan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Azzam clinches his opponent.  Azzam pushes his forearm into Rajan's face.  The ref breaks Azzam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Azzam is looking to close the distance.  Rajan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Azzam lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rajan attempts to land a cross, but Azzam sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Azzam closes the distance and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Azzam digs in a stinging right hook to Rajan's body.  
Azzam closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into Rajan's body.  
Azzam lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Rajan attempts to land a cross, but Azzam slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Azzam closes the distance and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Azzam clinches his opponent.  Azzam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Azzam to stop fouling.
