John Groves vs Ben Blackman

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Idaho promoted show at Boise Raven, Boise,  taking place on 12/06/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Idaho Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Groves (10 - 8 - 2) who hails from Boise, USA and Ben Blackman(10 - 2) from Boise, USA.  Groves weighed in at 134 pounds and 9 ounces, while Blackman weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Summerfield, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Hosick, Malcolm Lyell and Jacob Mains.  

Round 1: 

Blackman lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Blackman clinches his opponent.  Blackman pushes his forearm into Groves's face.  The ref breaks Blackman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Blackman drives a left hook into Groves's liver.  As Groves tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Blackman dabs at his face checking for damage.
