Jun Shiro vs Nao Mukai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Shizuoka promoted show at Hamamatsu Nakamura, Hamamatsu,  taking place on 25/06/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Shizuoka Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jun The Lightning Shiro (61(45) - 16(14)) who hails from Fuji, Japan and Nao Mukai(16 - 6 - 1) from Hamamatsu, Japan.  Both Shiro and Mukai weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kazuhiko Kawata, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Ose, Aoi Takagi and Akira Taguchi.  

Round 1: 

Shiro throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Mukai is looking to close the distance.  Shiro pivots to the side of his opponent.  Shiro throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Shiro clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mukai pushes his forearm into Shiro's face.  The referee warns Mukai and breaks the clinch.  
Mukai advances into close range.  Shiro digs in a left hook to Mukai's body.  
Shiro pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Shiro tries to keep the action at long range and lands a stinging cross.  
Mukai is looking to close the distance.  Shiro lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Shiro digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mukai tries to land a left uppercut, but Shiro blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shiro is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Mukai sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Shiro tries to keep the action at long range.  Shiro stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Mukai hits home with an overhand right.  
Mukai gets on the inside.  Shiro pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a firm right hook.  
Shiro is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mukai lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Mukai attempts to land a jab, but Shiro slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Shiro lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Shiro tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.  
Shiro lands a jab to Mukai's body.  
Shiro switches the action to the outside.  Shiro sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Mukai advances into close range and manouvers Shiro into a corner.  Shiro lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mukai lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Shiro is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Shiro's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mukai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Shiro pivots to the side of his opponent.  Shiro throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Shiro holds on to his opponent.  Shiro pushes his forearm into Mukai's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Shiro.  
Mukai lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Shiro steps away from his opponent and lands a stinging cross to his opponents body.  
Shiro is on target with a cross.  
Shiro is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mukai walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mukai throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Shiro lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Shiro steps to the outside.  Shiro sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mukai is on target with a cross.  
Shiro is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Shiro drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Mukai throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Shiro lands a sharp jab.  
Shiro tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mukai's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mukai's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Mukai has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.

Shiro lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shiro dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mukai is on target with a left hook to Shiro's body.  
Shiro steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Mukai sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shiro hits home with a cross.  
Shiro is on target with a CRUSHING cross.  MUKAI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mukai almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mukai is looking to close the distance.  Shiro is on target with a right hook to Mukai's body.  
Mukai lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mukai manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Mukai is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Mukai drives a left hook into Shiro's body.  
Shiro lands a solid jab.  
Mukai gets on the inside.  Shiro pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Shiro knows Mukai is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Shiro lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MUKAI DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Shiro!
