Taro Kinoshita vs Iwao Koyama

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan’s Boxing promoted show at Kazuhiko Miura Gym, Nagoya,  taking place on 26/06/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Taro Kinoshita (2 - 6(1) - 1) who hails from Toyohashi, Japan and Iwao Yajū Koyama(52(30) - 14(3) - 2) from Kasugai, Japan.  Kinoshita weighed in at 153 pounds and 5 ounces, while Koyama weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Mochizuki, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Tanaka, Mikio Yasuda and Yasushi Jin.  

Round 1: 

Koyama closes the distance.  Koyama quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Koyama lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Koyama clinches his opponent.  Koyama is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Koyama is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Koyama throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Koyama ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Koyama pushes his forearm into Kinoshita's face.  The ref breaks Koyama's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Koyama lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Koyama hits home with a stinging jab.  
Kinoshita attempts to land a right hook, but Koyama sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Koyama lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Koyama holds on to his opponent.  Koyama pushes his forearm into Kinoshita's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Koyama about fouling.

Koyama closes the distance.  Koyama quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Kinoshita is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Koyama knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Koyama lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES KINOSHITA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Kinoshita now seems to have his senses back.  
Koyama is on target with a jab.  
Koyama steps inside.  Koyama pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Koyama forces Kinoshita to retreat onto the ropes.  Koyama is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Koyama ties up his opponent.  Koyama leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Koyama pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook to Kinoshita's body.  
Koyama digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Koyama advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kinoshita's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
