Sancho Felipe vs Senon Mercado

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Coahuila promoted show at Torreon Apolinar, Torreon,  taking place on 27/06/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Coahuila Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sancho Felipe (5 - 10 - 2) who hails from Saltillo, Mexico and Senon Mercado(10(4) - 2) from Torreon, Mexico.  Both Felipe and Mercado weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lisandro Rodriguez, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Canseco, Santiago Macia and Santiago Lozon.  

Round 1: 

Mercado lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Felipe hits home with a right uppercut.  
Felipe tries to keep the action at long range.  Mercado feints a jab, tricking Felipe into countering with a left hook.  Mercado springs the trap and counters with  a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Felipe is on target with an overhand right.  
Mercado advances into close range and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mercado gets on the inside and walks Felipe into a neutral corner.  Mercado lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mercado gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mercado drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Mercado hits home with a solid left hook.  
Felipe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mercado hits home with a solid cross.

Mercado forces Felipe to retreat into a corner.  Mercado hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mercado lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mercado lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Felipe's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Felipe's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
