Paul McTavish vs Amer Iqbal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Salt Lake City Toshack, Salt Lake City,  taking place on 06/07/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Utah Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul McTavish (29(17) - 5(3)) who hails from West Valley City, USA and Amer Iqbal(6 - 7(3) - 1) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Both McTavish and Iqbal weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charlie McNeely, and the three ringside judges are Kian Ord, Arran Doyle and Michael Faul.  

Round 1: 

McTavish is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McTavish lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McTavish lands a cross to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.  
McTavish connects with a solid left hook.  
McTavish lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.

Iqbal steps away from his opponent.  McTavish lands a jab to the head, an overhand left to the head and a jab to the body.

Iqbal sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Iqbal tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Iqbal's body.  
McTavish steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
McTavish lands two overhand rights followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
McTavish lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Iqbal manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Iqbal pivots to the side of his opponent.  McTavish lands with a hard jab.  
McTavish tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McTavish connects with a right uppercut.  
McTavish is on target with a stinging jab to his opponents body.  
Iqbal tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
McTavish strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
McTavish lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from McTavish could be enough to force the stoppage!  McTavish lands two straights followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head, DROPPING IQBAL TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Iqbal now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iqbal's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Iqbal's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Iqbal's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
