Joe Ruane vs Zach Whitehill

Boxing Daily Report from the Fanoosyan Promotions promoted show at USA-Washington Gym, Seattle,  taking place on 06/07/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Washington Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Ruane (11 - 10(5) - 3) who hails from Seattle, USA and Zach Whitehill(6(2) - 2) from Seattle, USA.  Ruane weighed in at 200 pounds, while Whitehill weighed in at 199 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Lyne, and the three ringside judges are John Sundy, James Stoddart and Arnie Beaumarchais.  

Round 1: 

Whitehill advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Ruane is on target with a stinging jab.  
Whitehill is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Whitehill gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Whitehill sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Whitehill lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Whitehill clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Whitehill pushes his forearm into Ruane's face.  The referee warns Whitehill and breaks the clinch.  
Whitehill lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ruane switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Ruane hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Whitehill advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Whitehill is on target with a powerful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE RUANE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ruane recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
