Gregor Fini vs Phil Down

Boxing Daily Report from the High Stake Promtions promoted show at Paterson Monarrez, Paterson,  taking place on 11/07/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gregor Fini (21 - 12(3) - 6) who hails from Newark, USA and Phil Down(10 - 3(1)) from Bridgeport, USA.  Fini weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces, while Down weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Leaper, and the three ringside judges are Jamie Loudon, Ewan McLoughlin and Robert Dalton.  

Round 1: 

Down forces Fini to retreat into the red corner.  Down pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Down lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Down closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Down is on target with a left hook.  
Fini switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Fini steps to the outside.  Down circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Fini attempts to land a cross, but Down sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Down tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Down steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Down is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Down quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  As Down tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fini dabs at his face checking for damage.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Down.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Down manages to force Fini into the corner.  Down lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fini's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Fini's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Fini's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
