Robbie Van den Brouke vs Joaquin Cubero

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at RDS Arena, Dublin,  taking place on 19/07/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the EU Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Robbie Van den Brouke (22(18) - 1(1)) who hails from The Hague, Netherlands and Joaquin Cubero(53(27) - 19(15)) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Van den Brouke and Cubero weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Liam Healey, and the three ringside judges are Conor Whalen, Shane MacNevin and Thomas Burke.  

Round 1: 

Cubero pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cubero lands a jab followed by a cross to his opponents body.  Cubero throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cubero throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Van den Brouke is looking to close the distance and hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Cubero steps to the outside.  Van den Brouke lands a solid jab.  
Cubero lands a cross to the head, a left hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Van den Brouke gets on the inside.  Van den Brouke leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Cubero digs in a right hook to Van den Brouke's body.  Cubero tries to land a left uppercut, but Van den Brouke slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Cubero sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Van den Brouke lands a jab to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Van den Brouke lands a left uppercut, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Cubero steps to the outside.  Van den Brouke tries to land a jab, but Cubero slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Cubero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Van den Brouke throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Van den Brouke steps inside.  Cubero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Van den Brouke lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES CUBERO!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Cubero almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Van den Brouke hits home with a hard jab.  
Van den Brouke steps inside.  Cubero lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Cubero throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cubero sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Van den Brouke is on target with a left hook.  
Van den Brouke gets on the inside and lands a solid right hook.  
Van den Brouke lands a solid jab.  
Van den Brouke is on target with a stinging cross.  Van den Brouke throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Van den Brouke steps inside.  Cubero pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cubero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Van den Brouke lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Cubero wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Van den Brouke dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Cubero pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cubero tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Van den Brouke is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Van den Brouke lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Van den Brouke tries to land a right hook, but Cubero parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Cubero drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Van den Brouke gets on the inside.  Cubero pivots to the right of his opponent.  Van den Brouke attempts to land a left hook, but Cubero dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cubero pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Cubero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a firm cross.  
Cubero throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Cubero's ribs.  
Van den Brouke is looking to close the distance.  Cubero lands a right uppercut.

Van den Brouke lands a straight 1 - 2.  Van den Brouke attempts to land a jab, but Cubero sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Cubero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Van den Brouke advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Cubero sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Cubero pivots from in front of his opponent.  Cubero tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a weighty left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE CUBERO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Cubero recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Van den Brouke lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Van den Brouke ties up his opponent.  Cubero pushes his forearm into Van den Brouke's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Van den Brouke senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Van den Brouke lands a cross to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND CUBERO IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Cubero now seems to have his senses back.

Van den Brouke stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Van den Brouke lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Cubero is looking in serious trouble here...the ref steps in and waves the fight off!  He's seen enough!  The winner by TKO is Van den Brouke!
