Kwamin Wairimu vs Dikembe Ochuodho

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Mombasa Vadukul, Mombasa,  taking place on 16/07/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kwamin Wairimu (25(15) - 16(15) - 1) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Dikembe Ochuodho(15 - 4 - 1) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Wairimu and Ochuodho weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Kamau, and the three ringside judges are Sam Yiampoy, Lisimba Dalrymple and Lewis Muriuki.  

Round 1: 

Wairimu gets on the inside.  Ochuodho attempts to land a right hook, but Wairimu sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ochuodho sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wairimu lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ochuodho is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a cross, but Wairimu blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Wairimu steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Wairimu lands a WICKED right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE OCHUODHO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ochuodho almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Wairimu is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Wairimu steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Wairimu pivots from in front of his opponent.  Wairimu connects with a firm right hook.  Wairimu attempts to land a jab, but Ochuodho parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ochuodho is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Wairimu lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Wairimu pivots to the right of his opponent.  Wairimu lands a jab, left uppercut and a jab to his opponents head.  Wairimu tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.

Ochuodho steps to the outside.  Wairimu lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Ochuodho pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ochuodho attempts to land a jab, but Wairimu sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.

Wairimu lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Wairimu throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Wairimu gets on the inside and drives a stinging right hook into Ochuodho's body.  
Ochuodho lands with a hard jab.  
Wairimu closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.

Ochuodho lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ochuodho sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wairimu lands a left uppercut followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

He continues the combination and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS OCHUODHO DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  Ochuodho recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Wairimu closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND OCHUODHO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Wairimu forces Ochuodho to retreat onto the ropes.  Wairimu knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Wairimu lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS OCHUODHO TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Ochuodho now seems to have his senses back.  
Wairimu lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Wairimu steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Wairimu lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wairimu hits home with a stinging jab.

Ochuodho steps to the outside.  Wairimu attempts to land an overhand right, but Ochuodho dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

As they grapple, Wairimu pushes his forearm into Ochuodho's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Wairimu.

Wairimu gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ochuodho almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Wairimu is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Wairimu clinches his opponent.  Wairimu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ochuodho switches the action to the outside.  Ochuodho drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Wairimu lands a stinging jab.  Wairimu attempts to land a cross, but Ochuodho slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Wairimu's body.

Wairimu knows Ochuodho is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Wairimu lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND OCHUODHO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Wairimu!
