Sammy Magdato vs Robert Jacang

Boxing Daily Report from the Kamao Promotions promoted show at Lapu-Lapu Noa, Lapu-Lapu,  taking place on 30/07/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Cebu Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sammy Magdato (13(9) - 2 - 1) who hails from Cebu City, Philippines and Robert Jacang(5 - 6(1)) from Cebu City, Philippines.  Magdato weighed in at 135 pounds, while Jacang weighed in at 135 pounds and 9 ounces.    As Jacang came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Connor Calapatia, and the three ringside judges are David Makalintal, Eduardo Macalam and David Makalintal.  

Round 1: 

Magdato closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Jacang's ribs.  
Jacang throws a right hook, but Magdato holds on to his opponent.  Magdato is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Magdato and breaks the clinch.  
Magdato lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Magdato ties up his opponent.  Magdato is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magdato lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS JACANG DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Jacang quickly recovers. 
Magdato lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Magdato hits home with a solid left hook.  
Magdato manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Magdato hits home with a right uppercut.  
Magdato lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Jacang steps inside.  Magdato lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Magdato clinches his opponent.  Magdato leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jacang manages to force Magdato onto the ropes.  Magdato lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Magdato hits home with a sharp cross.  
Magdato gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Magdato holds on to his opponent.  Magdato leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magdato lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  Magdato ties up his opponent.  Magdato leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Magdato quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Magdato lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Magdato holds on to his opponent.  Magdato leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Jacang almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Magdato is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Magdato attempts to land a left hook, but Jacang slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Magdato feints a left, and then connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Magdato lands a firm left hook.  
Magdato lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Magdato advances into close range.  Magdato sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jacang's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Jacang's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Round 2: 

Jacang gets on the inside.  Magdato throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Magdato holds on to his opponent.  Magdato is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magdato is looking to close the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Magdato dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Magdato pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Jacang gets on the inside.  Magdato connects with a firm right hook.  
Magdato sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Magdato lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Magdato clinches his opponent.  Magdato leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Magdato pushes his forearm into Jacang's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Magdato about fouling.  
Magdato lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Magdato lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Magdato pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jacang throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Magdato lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Magdato lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Magdato ties up his opponent.  Magdato throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Magdato to stop holding.  Jacang quickly recovers. 
Magdato hits home with a left hook.  
Magdato forces Jacang to retreat into a corner.  Magdato lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Magdato lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Jacang attempts to land a cross, but Magdato dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to Jacang's liver.  
Magdato lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Jacang quickly recovers. 
Magdato lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Jacang's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Jacang cuts off the ring, trapping Magdato on the ropes.  Magdato lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Magdato lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Magdato steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jacang gets on the inside.  Magdato quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jacang dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Magdato lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Magdato SLAMS a BRUTAL left hook into his opponents face.  JACANG WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Jacang almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Magdato gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Magdato connects with a stinging right hook.  
Magdato lands a VICIOUS right hook.  JACANG WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Jacang recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Magdato lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Magdato tries to land a left hook, but Jacang blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Magdato's ribs.  
Magdato is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Magdato digs in a potent left hook to his opponents body.  JACANG IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Magdato is looking to close the distance and lands a CRUSHING left hook.  JACANG IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT JACANG CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Magdato!
