John Fuertes vs David Nevarez

Boxing Daily Report from the Otu Promotions promoted show at Las Vegas Spencer, Las Vegas,  taking place on 04/08/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Nevada Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Fuertes (25(13) - 9(4) - 2) who hails from North Las Vegas, USA and David Nevarez(15 - 19(3) - 5) from Las Vegas, USA.  Fuertes weighed in at 160 pounds, while Nevarez weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Hasson, and the three ringside judges are Brad Primrose, Edward Almodovar and Vincent Ovens.  

Round 1: 

Fuertes steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  Fuertes ties up his opponent.  Fuertes pushes his forearm into Nevarez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Fuertes pushes his forearm into Nevarez's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Nevarez almost instantly recovers. 
Fuertes advances into close range and manages to force Nevarez onto the ropes.  Nevarez throws a right hook, but Fuertes clinches his opponent.  Fuertes is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
