Robert Lesley vs Jonathan Lightbody

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne,  taking place on 07/09/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Oceania Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Robert Lesley (24(6) - 9(3)) who hails from Canberra, Australia and Jonathan Lightbody(28(3) - 21(11)) from North Shore, New Zealand.  Both Lesley and Lightbody weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stephen MacDougall, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Stronach, Mark McBride and Jay Sterling.  

Round 1: 

Lesley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a hard jab.  
Lightbody advances into close range.  Lesley lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Lesley switches the action to the outside.  Lightbody lands a spiteful jab.  
Lesley is on target with a jab to Lightbody's body.  
Lesley lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Lightbody throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Lightbody's liver.  
Lightbody gets on the inside and forces Lesley to back into the ropes.  Lesley throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Lesley clinches his opponent.  Lesley leans on his opponent using all his weight. Lesley is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lesley.  
Lightbody quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Lightbody hits home with a left hook.  Lesley clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Lightbody pushes his forearm into Lesley's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
