Marcus Dillon vs Bruce Devlin

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 26/08/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Premier Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marcus Dillon (6 - 12(3) - 1) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Bruce Devlin(19(6) - 5(3)) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both Dillon and Devlin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Matthew, and the three ringside judges are James Matthew, Peter McAlister and Peter MacLaughlin.  

Round 1: 

Devlin lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dillon lands a cross.  
Devlin closes the distance and manouvers Dillon into a corner.  Devlin lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Devlin lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Devlin is on target with a firm left uppercut to Dillon's body.  
Dillon gets on the inside.  Devlin is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Devlin lands a left hook.  
Devlin steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  
Devlin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Devlin digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Devlin ties up his opponent.  Devlin leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Devlin lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Devlin drives a stinging right hook into Dillon's ribcage.  
Devlin lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Devlin closes the distance.  Devlin knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Devlin lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND KNOCKS DILLON DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Dillon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Devlin advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Dillon almost instantly recovers. 
Devlin steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Devlin steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Devlin walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Devlin lands two left hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Devlin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Devlin digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Devlin holds on to his opponent.  Devlin is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Devlin.  
Devlin is on target with a firm right uppercut to Dillon's body.  
Devlin lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Devlin lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Devlin lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Devlin clinches his opponent.  Devlin is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dillon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Dillon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Dillon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Devlin lands a sharp right hook.  Dillon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Devlin gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Devlin drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Devlin digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Devlin forces Dillon to back into a corner.  Devlin lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Devlin drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Devlin lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Devlin lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Devlin slams a big left hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE DILLON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Dillon recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
