Porter Verne vs Merrill Matute

Boxing Daily Report from the Simanansa Promotions promoted show at Bamenda Oran, Bamenda,  taking place on 21/08/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Nord-Oueste Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Porter Verne (14(1) - 7) who hails from Bamenda, Cameroon and Merrill Matute(20 - 6(1)) from Bamenda, Cameroon.  Verne weighed in at 160 pounds and 10 ounces, while Matute weighed in at 160 pounds.    As Verne came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Alexandre Ekwe, and the three ringside judges are Coyne Ngapeth, Jasper Artaud and Garner Moukandjo.
